Spotify does not directly sell audiobooks the way it sells music subscriptions or streams music. However, it does offer audiobooks as part of its platform, and users can purchase them through the Spotify app. Here’s how you can buy audiobooks on Spotify:
- Update Spotify: Ensure that you have the latest version of the Spotify app installed on your device.
- Search for Audiobooks:
- Open the Spotify app and tap on the search icon.
- Type in “audiobooks” or search for a specific audiobook title or author.
- Browse Audiobooks:
- Spotify will display a list of available audiobooks. You can browse by genre or recommendations.
- Select an Audiobook:
- Tap on the audiobook you’re interested in. You’ll be taken to its details page, where you can see a brief description, price, and other details.
- Purchase the Audiobook:
- Tap the Buy button. You will be redirected to Spotify’s website to complete the purchase (note that you cannot purchase directly in the app due to app store policies on transaction fees).
- Follow the prompts to enter your payment information and complete the purchase.
- Listen to Your Audiobook:
- Once purchased, the audiobook will be available in your Spotify library under the “Your Library” section.
- You can start listening immediately by tapping on the audiobook in your library.
If Spotify does not show the option to buy audiobooks in your region, this feature may not yet be available in your area. In this case, you can use other platforms like Audible, Apple Books, or Google Play Books to purchase audiobooks.
